LOL! That would have been the best slasher film, or maybe even the best film, ever made.

This one is too easy. “The best slasher flick of all time” and the company called Hoa-x gives it away. I used to the April Fool’s day jokes on this site, but you guys are slipping a bit in your obviousness. Good try, though. I would have loved to have seen a movie based on this summary.

This is not an April fools day joke. I’ve got it as an ultra rare Bulgarian DVD.
For anyone else who’s seen it, the kid at the buying an ice cream is a very young Sam Rockwell.
It’s very good, but the best?
You really need see May Day (1981), the best of Dimitri Povloffs’ excellent Soviet Union era slashers. Man, that one almost made state capitalism look worth the hardship.
Then there’s also there’s the savage and unrelenting Savage Unrelenting Hill (1979) arguably the best of the backwoods massacre movies to come out of British Columbia that July.
And of course if you can stand the misogyny and squealing there is Paroxicide(1982). Ed Vickers must have really hated blonds is all I will say.

Wow, I’m excited! I was always impressed by the gore effects in “Something Awful in the Dark”, although I always knew the film it under its original Australian title, “Bloody Awful”.

Well, I guess we can all say good-bye to Hoa-X DVD, a great boutique label that’s yet another victim of downloading and public indifference. Let’s all do our part to make sure that the real and legit little DVD guys keep their doors open, providing us slasher fiends with the goods. And thanks to Matt McCarron who did the “Blood Test” ad design for me. I still want to see a slasher film with a killer who hides weapons in his/her legwarmers. Stay rad!
