Krueger Coverage Jumps The Shark

freddy-glove-coffee

Wow. Just wow. I believe horror news sites have hit a new low by creating news based around an image of a near empty freakin’ coffee cup with barely the tips of Freddy’s new glove blades visible. Big whup. However I got so many emails asking to see this, so since I am beholden to you guys, your wish is my command. It’s worth the inevitable Pot Kettle Black accusations just so I can complain like the cranky old coot I am. Anyway, it appeared on Jackie Earle Haley’s Twitter, but I’m going to credit Shock Till You Drop because that’s where I saw it first as I don’t use fucking Twitter. Next up, breaking news – a spy photo of a piece of fluff from Freddy’s new sweater!

Dribbler Taken Off The Court For Now

crI only throw bad basketball puns your way to mask my disappointment that Code Red’s NIGHT OF THE DRIBBLER (1995) has been delayed. Pretty much the most anticipated lost slasher since it never came out in any format, I guess what’s a few more months after about a decade plus? Read on for some Code Red release date reshuffles:

“We have changed the streetdates for some of our announced titles. TRAPPED will now come out on 8/4, and THE WEEKEND MURDERS will be released on 8/11. CHOKE CANYON has been postponed due to poor pre-book, and NIGHT OF THE DRIBBLER has been pushed back to later this year, as has POWER PLAY.”

I’d be refreshing, if, for a change, the comments below could be something different than the usual complaining. How about we see your best basketball metaphors/jokes since mine clearly stink!

Watch 9 Minutes Of Trick R Treat NOW!

tricktreat

The long shelved but buzz-gathering anthology TRICK R TREAT got a spot on the FRIDAY THE 13th (2009) KILLER CUT Blu-Ray disc showing off 9 minutes of the flick. While Blu-Ray can be somewhat problematic in ripping to PC (I guess that’s partially the idea), an enterprising individual has filmed the on-screen action and uploaded for your enjoyment. Hot as it is, don’t expect this video to last online forever, so get into action and watch it now! If it vanishes I’ll try to source other copies, and if it’s a losing battle I’ll resort to creating screencaps. Onward!

Tom Savini On Joe Spinell

tromaWe recently reviewed the Last Horror Film Uncut Special Edition DVD and if you read that, you know how chock-full the disc is. Troma dropped us a line to let us know they have posted a brand new video filmed at Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors featuring FX legend Tom Savini & Joe Spinell’s friend Sal Sirchia sharing memories of the late actor and star of THE LAST HORROR FILM. It’s a great supplement to the DVD, so check it out above.
