Well, it’s official – David Arquette and wife Courtney Cox will re-team once again for Scream 4. With Neve Campbell having expressed she had no interesting in returning to the successful franchise, it seems that her two co-stars are more than happy to.
“We are going to be doing Scream 4,” says Arquette, who will once again play the hapless Dewey Riley, a role he has previously re-visited twice since the first movie was released back in December 1996. “Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct.”
Williamson, who currently has several projects on the go, left a comment on his Twitter page a couple of hours ago that read, “Up and writing. Lots of blood and guts today.” Hopefully, this was in reference to Scream 4, as it has been no secret that he has had difficulty writing the sequel, particularly after his absence from the third movie.
