Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter’s Corey Feldman looks set to be the latest cast member to join The Beautiful Outsiders, to be produced to British company Masterplan (who are also set to remake The Driller Killer). The movie, which had previously been linked to Urban Legend’s Tara Reid, is set to begin shooting later this year.
Feldman will take the role of a detective who is hunting a Bonnie and Clyde-style couple, portrayed by Heathers’ Shannon Doherty and Cameron Douglas (son of Michael). Other faces that will be recognisable to horror fans include Brad Dourif (Child’s Play), Giovanni Lombardo Radice (Cannibal Ferox), Doug Bradley (Hellraiser) and David Hess (The Last House on the Left), whilst another recent addition is Jeff Anderson, better known as Randal from Clerks.
The movie will tell of former junkie Jason Starkweather (Douglas), recently released from prison who rejoins his former lover Sarah Fugate (Doherty), and takes off leaving a string of bodies behind them. Fans of such violent road movies as Badlands, Wild at Heart and True Romance may enjoy this flick that, whilst not itself a horror, features enough genre names to make this warrant a viewing.
