These Code Red titles flew so low they even missed my “Red Radar” – this past week saw the release of two EXPLOITATION DOUBLE FEATURES. And while the special features have been paired-down to accommodate two films on one disc, each collection has something new/exclusive to make a purchase worthwhile.
WILDERNESS SLASHER HORROR DOUBLE FEATURE!
The Forest
Two couple plan to take a trip into the forest. But they didn’t count on a killer on the loose with a taste for human flesh! Haunted by the ghosts of his children, the killer is eventually double-crossed as the ghosts of his children come to the aid of the campers in this unique entry into the killer-in-the-woods genre.Don’t Go In The Woods
Four young campers head into the deep woods of the Utah mountains for a relaxing weekend. But their fun is spoiled when a machete-wielding maniac embarks on a blood-splattering rampage, hacking and slashing all who enter the woods!
The great DON’T GO IN THE WOODS has Audio Commentary By Comedy Troupe CinemaHeadCheese, which I don’t recall being on the original disc – the copy I purchased anyway.
EVIL TEEN HORROR!
Mark Of The Witch
A college co-ed attends a class on the occult and ends up possessed by a 17th-century witch who seduces the girl’s lover (who is also teaching the course) and sends her on a murderous rampage to get revenge on the descendent of the man who persecuted her in this taut horror movie.Devil Times Five
Five children crawl from the wreckage of a deadly van accident in a snowy canyon. The juvenile survivors (including teen heartthrob Leif Garrett) seek shelter at a secluded mountaintop winter home occupied by a rich businessman (Gene Evans) and his friends (including Sorrell Booke, Boss Hogg from TV’s Dukes Of Hazzard and Shelly Morrison of Will & Grace). Soon, strange mishaps occur and the group is stranded without electricity and telephones. One by one, the adults begin to fell prey to a series of shocking and violent deaths! By the time the few surviving adults suspect the demented delinquents it may be too late!
This debuts Code Red’s MARK OF THE WITCH, so here’s the only place to get it!
