Argento’s most pure, flawless film, I’d say. The “ducking cop” scare in the climax always sends chills down my crooked spine.

My favorite Argento film. The film has a lot of twist and turns but it can be figured out before the ending. The film is beautifully shot , as most of Argento’s early films. The film (my opinion) is highly recommended. Chances are, if you are on this site then you love these kind of films. It’s funny….the Italian’s had the “slasher thing” down before the American’s, but America horror films get all the credit for the slasher boom.

My favourites are still The Bird with the Crystal Plumage and Four Flies on Grey Velvet, as they’re closer to the murder/mystery of the giallo origins, but this is a great Italian spin on the traditional slasher formula.

Toss in Crystal Plumage and you’ve got my top five glenn!
